Ingredients

  • 1 cups all purpose flour


  • 2 nos eggs


  • 1 cups sugar


  • 1/4 cups oil


  • 1/4 cups fresh orange juice


  • 1 tsp orange zest


  • 1 tbsp orange crush

Directions

  • Peel outer covering of the orange and slice each segment vertically.
  • And keep them aside.
  • Take the sugar in a pan and caramelize it.
  • Pour the caramelized sugar in the baking dish covering the bottom completely.
  • Then arrange the orange segments over it. Keep it aside.
  • Beat the eggs till light and fluffy, to this add sugar and oil and mix well.
  • Add orange juice, orange crush, orange zest to the above mixture and mix well.
  • Seive the flour, salt, baking powder and add slowly to the wet ingredients.
  • Fold them lightly till all the batter mixes well.
  • Pour it slowly over the orange segments on the baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 40 minutes or until the skewer inserted comes out clean.
  • Once it cools turn it on the plate slowly. The juice from the orange would be oozing out making the cake very moist.
  • keep in the fridge and serve when cold.
