Peel outer covering of the orange and slice each segment vertically.
And keep them aside.
Take the sugar in a pan and caramelize it.
Pour the caramelized sugar in the baking dish covering the bottom completely.
Then arrange the orange segments over it. Keep it aside.
Beat the eggs till light and fluffy, to this add sugar and oil and mix well.
Add orange juice, orange crush, orange zest to the above mixture and mix well.
Seive the flour, salt, baking powder and add slowly to the wet ingredients.
Fold them lightly till all the batter mixes well.
Pour it slowly over the orange segments on the baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 40 minutes or until the skewer inserted comes out clean.
Once it cools turn it on the plate slowly. The juice from the orange would be oozing out making the cake very moist.
keep in the fridge and serve when cold.
